Nadia Aucamp

Managing Director

Nadia Aucamp leads Lapwing Capital, with overall responsibility for the firm’s strategy, governance, and day-to-day management.

Nadia holds an Honours degree in Investment Management from the University of Johannesburg and brings a strong foundation in fund administration and operational strategy to her role. She began her career at Risk Café, where she was responsible for the administration of hedge funds and unit trusts, gaining early exposure to the operational mechanics of investment vehicles and regulatory frameworks. She later joined Silica (now FNZ), where she managed complex client queries and deepened her expertise across a broad range of investment products and fund administration processes.

In 2021, Nadia joined Oyster Catcher Investments as an Operations Analyst. Her analytical rigour and collaborative approach quickly distinguished her, and she was promoted to Head of Operations in 2022. In this role, she led initiatives to streamline operational workflows, enhance reporting accuracy, and strengthen the firm’s compliance and control environment.

As Oyster Catcher continued to grow, Nadia was appointed Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity, she oversaw the firm’s operational strategy, systems, and execution. Within a boutique investment manager, the COO role is inherently multifaceted, combining operational excellence with close engagement across the business. Nadia worked closely with portfolio managers, gaining deep insight into trading and investment processes, and played a key role in aligning operational delivery with investment strategy. She was instrumental in building scalable systems that supported the firm’s growth, while preserving the discipline and precision central to the firm’s investment philosophy.
